Hedgehogs are insectivores that have quietly worked out cat food is a better deal than beetles - higher protein, no chasing, same bowl every night. Meat-based wet or dry cat food is genuinely fine for them. Bread and milk is not, and is still the most common thing well-meaning people put out.
The six is about right. It'll eat it, it'll be back tomorrow, and it will not be leaving a thank-you note.
